STERLING, VA and CAMBRIDGE, UK (July 28, 2010)
Race-Keeper announced today the imminent release of ECU-CAN data inputs to the industry-leading Race-Keeper video data systems.
The addition of ECU-CAN data inputs from popular third-party ECUs further enhances Race-Keeper’s robust data logging capabilities by giving customers the power to capture many extra data channels directly from vehicle ECUs and display the data with automatically synchronized multi-camera video. Race-Keeper currently acquires and displays data from high-resolution GPS, embedded accelerometers, external analog and digital sensors, and OBD-II.
Within the next two weeks, Race-Keeper will make available ECU CAN stream decodes for the following ECUs-CAN devices:
- Bosch Motronic 3.1, 4.1 and 4.3
- MoTeC M800 Series
- Pectel MQ12
Additional ECU stream decodes will be available in the near future.
There are two products for each ECU CAN stream:
- Driver Inputs – Driver inputs including throttle position, brake pressure, steering angle (if available), engine speed, and vehicle speed.
- Vehicle and Driver Inputs – Engine parameters such as water and oil temps, oil and fuel pressures, and exhaust gas temps. These are in addition to the Driver Inputs channel list.
All additional data channels will be available for display and analysis in Race-Keeper Comparo, Race-Keeper’s driver development software application.
Adding ECU CAN inputs to Race-Keeper is simple – one additional cable and one software download.
