Race-Keeper released a major software update with a set of customer-requested feature updates to Race-Keeper Comparo video data software, including tools for cropping video data track outings, gauge and track map overlays, and file export capabilities. Click Comparo Press Release for details.
Race-Keeper Comparo’s major software release includes the following new features:
- Video data file cropping that gives users the power to clip custom segments from video data outings and save as new outings, retaining perfectly synchronized video and data.
- Point and click file export with full gauge, lap data and track map overlays to MPEG file for email to friends and family and upload to video web sites (e.g., YouTube). See Sample File Export Page for an example of the easy-to-use interface.
- Dozens of gauges from popular racing makes and models, along with generic dash elements for customer color matching and gauges for real-time performance analysis.
- Drag and drop placement and positioning of gauges and data elements, including lap time, lap number, and track map.
The software update, including all of the video editing capabilities, is available at no charge to customers and prospective customers.
Because video and data are synchronized automatically as the recording is being made on the vehicle, the files that are produced are integrated video data files – not separate video OR data files. Therefore, there is no need for post-production synchronization tools or multiple data files. Also, because the interface is simple and intuitive, there is no need for a comprehensive Help section or production wizards.
